Frequently Asked Questions
How big is your team?
There’s a happy dozen of us, most based in Melbourne with one between Sydney and Canberra. We also proudly keep all the work within our team. Translation: we do not outsource any tasks overseas. That usually calls for red flags…
What experience do you have working with my industry?
We only work within the food & beverage world—not only because we love it, but also because we understand it. The only way to do so is by having worked in it. We combine well over 20 years of hospo experience, from cafes to coffee roasters, from fine dining restaurant to bars. We have done it all. Now, we are lucky enough to be doing it digitally.
Which industries do you work with?
In 4 words: ONLY food and beverages. We work with hospitality, wine, beer, coffee, drinks and food brands.
Can I bring my own content?
This is something that we rarely take onboard, because we LOVE creating content and we think that’s where a lot of the value comes through. However, there are some exceptions in which we help brands managing and distributing their own content, as they have no time for it but work with specific creators. Alternatively, you can also bring your own content and post it alongside ours, we are not fussy.
What services do you specialise in?
Organic and brand building services applied to social media. This includes content creation, copywriting, branding, photography, graphic design, marketing strategy, studio production, content ideas and distribution. We also make a mean coffee, as our founder has been in the coffee game for a long time, hence the barista skills…
Do you guys work Australia-wide or only in Victoria?
Technically speaking we work worldwide as have worked with clients in the USA and Asia. As far as Australia goes, our office and studio is based in Melbourne but we service every state and territory, thanks to some brilliant creatives that are affiliated with us. Plus, if you’re interstate you give us a good excuse to hop on a plane for a visit.
Can I measure the results of your work?
Yes. No. Well… it depends. Firstly, it depends on what your business is: online vs. brick and mortar. For online businesses it is much easier to trace the results from our work. Brick and mortar is a bit more complicated. What do we mean by complicated? Imagine Carol and Susan walking down the street looking for a brunch spot. They see a couple of options, pull out their phones and make a choice based on what they see on the two Instagrams. That transaction is nearly impossible to track.
Do you come up with a strategy or do I need to provide one?
Easy! Basically we start from an initial meeting, then we move onto breaking down the media kit you provide us and then we start planning away. After the first month, the team will get together and come up with the coming month’s strategies which they’ll be put forward to you. The monthly sessions helps us to keep on the pulse, and make sure we don’t miss out on opportunities based on the time of year, season, holidays and such. The beauty of it? You can always twist and change what we bring to the table, we aren’t married to our ideas after all.
What’s a media kit?
Our media kit is not only a chance for us to hear your story but it also helps us to accurately identify your tone of voice, who your competitors are, what style and look you prefer and how you want us to project your brand online.
How Much Will It Cost?
Our social media packages start from as little as $350p/w and go up from there, but it will never cost you more than… ignoring your business’ social media, hiring an internal full time social media person, a get rich quick scheme, a trade show stand, advertising on newspapers, or writing in the sky.
Can you also do branded graphics?
Yes, we are a one stop shop type of operation, and we have our very own in-house graphic designer, illustrator and branding wizard, Tye, who is always happy to create all sorts of graphic work: from educational tiles to complex illustration, from simple infographics to full branding exercises. You name it, we got it.
How long before you can start?
Approximately 2 weeks. This may vary case-by-case.
What’s the process once I sign up?
This will be covered in our on-boarding email, but basically it’ll be as follows: You will need to fill in our media kit, send us any brand assets or collateral, provide any credentials to access your channels and voila! From there we will review the media kit, come up with a strategy and book a photoshoot to create content. Finally, we’ll be live.
Are your packages flexible?
Funny that you ask, because being flexible is second nature for us, and also an important component for how we want to provide our services. In fact, 9 out of 10 of our clients are on a tailored social media package. As the saying goes: no one size fits all. The reason is quite simple: we want to work with you and help your brand based on your brief, budget and requirements which may require adding, removing or tweaking a few items of our standard packages.
Are you going to reply to comments and direct messages?
Most of our packages have these features included, however some brands prefer to reply personally and we are totally fine with that.
Do you offer discounts?
Generally speaking no, as we know how much value we bring, and it will always cost you less than hiring a full time person. However, as a token of appreciation we extend a 10% discount for clients who sign up for a 12 months period with us. The only other time that we apply it is when we deal with a group (eg. hospitality group with multiple venues).
What platforms should I be on with my business?
Answering with a question: Can you afford to miss out on extra eyes on you? No one likes to miss out on opportunities, hence the answer is as many as you possibly can.
What platforms do you offer your services for?
We can create and distribute content on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Youtube and Pinterest.
How long is your contract for social media management packages?
Our minimum term is 6 months, and then we apply a discount for clients who choose to sign up for 12 months. The reason for being 6 months minimum is simply because organic content needs some time to increase reach, discoverability and engagement. Furthermore, we also need time to test tone of voice, which content performs best and what your audience wants to see.
Are there any hidden fees?
No, and there never will be.
Do you offer product photography and do you have a studio?
Yes and yes. We are well equipped to take on product/studio photography, in fact we love doing that, especially at our very own studio. We have actually got options for you as we have 2 floors available: a product studio and a lifestyle studio. The first is ideal for e-commerce, ads, website and the usual “product” shots, the second is best for real life cases and settings, in which your product will be in its element and application.
How often do you come out for a photoshoot?
This will depend on what package you choose, but usually every 6-4-2 months. Having said that, we always have the capacity to add an extra photoshoot if needed, say for example if you’re launching a new flavour, or changing the menu. However, it’ll results in an extra cost if it falls outside the package.
How does pricing vary with your packages?
The 3 metrics that impact pricing are: quantity of posts, frequency of photoshoots and amount of manual actions of the account. Let’s unpack this…Quantity of posts should be straightforward, but basically the more we post and the more platforms we manage for you, the more it’ll cost. Frequency of photoshoot goes hand in hand with the previous point, so, the more we post, the more content we’ll need, hence more frequent photoshoots.
Are photoshoots included in the packages?
We are proud to say that every single social media package of ours (no matter how small) has a photoshoot included within. So you won’t get charged extra for content creation, don’t you worry.
Can I still post content of my own?
Yes, yes and YES! Not only can you keep posting and being active, we highly recommend that you do so, especially when it comes to those day-to-day spontaneous moments which cannot be captured by any agency. Whether it’s the behind the scenes, personal, or last minute update kind of content, you can still post about it. This will generate a great synergy, and further help you reach your goals.
What kind of return should I expect?
The most immediate return will be time, time that you get back by not having to deal with all things social media. Most of our clients give us firsthand feedback on how they gained a lot by deploying their time back into other areas of their business. Then, you should expect to be able to see an aesthetic elevation of your brand, a stronger online presence and an organic audience growth. By having more eyes on you, brand consideration will increase, which will lead to higher conversion.
