The Brief
Swig came to us with a clear ask: build a brand that reflects their no-nonsense, independent spirit. They needed a visual and verbal identity that would cut through industry fluff, communicate decades of roasting expertise, and highlight their commitment to sustainability, all without losing their grounded, approachable personality.



The Work
We created a brand identity rooted in experience and clarity. The handwritten logo brings a human, confident touch, framed to signal quality and care. The colour palette is pulled from the landscape of regional Victoria, hunter green for the land, soft blues and sunset tones for the sky. The primary typeface, Staatliches, brings bold geometry and structure, while Oswald supports with clarity and digital precision.
To visually unify the brand, we developed a graphic system using the stems of the logomark to create waveform elements, adding rhythm and visual continuity across packaging, social, and signage. The tone of voice stays true to Swig’s principles: clear, knowledgeable, and refreshingly honest.
From coffee bags to A-frames, every asset reinforces Swig’s belief in doing things the right way. Since launch, the new brand has helped Swig connect with a growing community of café owners and coffee lovers who value substance over spin, and quality they can trust.
